R70 Issue...
#1
Fitted my new R70 this evening. No issues fitting the pump, all back together now.

However.. I won't be driving anywhere, cos the fuel lines don't fit Sad

The first picture here is the R65. And you can see how the fuel line clips on.

Anyone any thoughts? Could I use some fuel rated hose and jubilee clips?

Can't you just cut the connector off the standard pipe and slide it over the R70 union?

The fuel lines on our cars are pretty goddamn strong, even after soaking it in boiling water I still struggled to get a connector on. Hammer FTW I say

The fuel hose i have on there was rubber in the first place...

That's your third piston shut-off return to the tank so it shouldn't be under any real pressure if you unplug the solenoid, if you can get the plastic fuel pipe over the fitting it should hold until you get to a parts place.

Just use rubber fuel hoses / do away with that hard plastic crap...you wont get the plastic stuff to clamp down / seal very well, its not meant for that as its heat shrunk at the factory...
