good handling?

As the old git said, no matter how good the tyre, you still need to remember to drive to the conditions. I generally don't take my car out for a hoon if its raining/been raining.

Camskill are good for tyres but then you need them fitted. I just phoned round my local dealers and played them off against each other on price till I got a decent price fitted.

Just go on camskill, buy the right size tyre and get whatever you can afford.

T1r's and specs I use to think we're amazing.

But after having my Pirelli p zero's, I know they are not.

But if that's all you can afford get them.

According to most sites Goodyear eagle F1's are the best all round tyre.

Don't listen to all the talk about rainsports, just like every other tyre some like them some do not. Maria, hated them and thought they were worse than the t1r's she had on the rallye before them.

Just use drop down boxes to get 195/50/15 tyres then choose a tyre from the ones in your price range, simples!

Just wanted to add to this there are 3 different ARB sizes for the xu/xud heavy duty on service box;

5081 88 19mm
5081 A9 20mm
5081 89 21mm

According to service box on a generic search and not a VIN search a gti 6 and DTurbo and XSi use a 19mm and the bigger ones are found on the estate.

If you do change up a size new ARB bearings are needed for the change in diameter

5094 66 19mm
5094 79 20mm
5094 65 21mm

Looking to go 21mm so verniers will be coming to breakers lol
Don't worry about what I'm doing, I want you to worry about what you're doing

Tyretraders.co.uk is good too buddy. I can vouch for driving sensible in the wet, nearly died last month due to crappy tyres/rain/vw handling/overconfidence, doesnt matter how fast you make your car theres no point if your mate in a standard 1.4 can outdrive you or if you crash....
