What on earth is the obsession with being so low? Surely handling and retaining at least some of the cars brilliant geometry is the main concern?

To be fair not everyone is building a car for uber handling.... Cosmetic appearance will always be more important to some people, and I can understand why to be honest.... My car would no doubt handle alot better on some £££ suspension and not being so low, but im perfectly happy how it is at the moment, and I dont want to tractorize it to make it better.

Mines never going to be a track car! Plus I love the 'stanced' look!

Correct mark. You get that with decent shocks, shorter bodies that hold more oil and more travel.

Got the new rear dampers on, and nearly finished completely undersealing:

Also had to cut out some rust from the classic spot:

and weld in a plate

Just got the new front coilovers to get on, play about with spring rates and fit the rose jointed drop links and setup.

Just ordered some 23mm torsion bars, and a new 30mm rear arb - hopefully getting a beam tube off Sam Barker this weekend and ordering some new trailing arm shafts to get a new beam build on the way.

Looking at some REALLY interesting possibilities with the new engine, something I KNOW no-one has ever tried so can't wait to get that properly underway!

All I am saying at the moment is that no-one on the forums has ever tried it, but should give me a good use-able hike in power, whilst retaining reliability.

On another note, I'm more excited about getting the new beam built up - that should make a luuuuurvley improvement over stock Smile

NOS, no. It's been done before time and time again. I'm not answering anymore as I'm not giving it away - you will have to wait and see Smile

The white thing is a heater to help dry the underseal... it's so cold ATM!!

20mm pump head? I bet its that........

Lol. It's a bit more severe than just strapping on a whopping pumping head.

Anyway, I've already said too much.

Initial thought is that it should make 250hp (or there abouts) pretty reliably, with low smoke and low(ish) EGTs... but it could prove to be a monumental and expensive flop!
