Yeah, the car was weighed with everything full so Ive weighed the difference in washer fluid between the pug bottle and my barely legal washer bottle (must be able to hold 1.25L for an MOT and mines 1.25L on the nose but currently mounted at an angle so i cant get 1.25L in)

Got 3.5kg less fluid but also theres a difference in the bottles. No A/C rad and the front pipes are removed.

Got a stick on number plate for the front to go on, reckon it weighs less than the sticky pads for the other plate.
Think im gonna attack the rest of the AC pipes today if it stops raining and I think Ive decided to have the bonnet lining off after all.

Oh and Ed Doe has sold me his spare De-Cat so as soon as it stops raining im fitting some win pipe shaped awesomeness (and weight loss)

Ok, bonnet lining is off now (weighed just shy of 1.1kg in case anyone is wondering).

I really not too keen on the noise of the de-cat. Sounds like its blowing slightly but it isnt.

Also I cant make it pop and bang which im slightly gutted about.

You need to let it soot up again, it's been off the car for a while! it needs to be hot too! Take it up to the limiter then very lightly tap the throttle as the revs drop down past 5.5k, should pop a beaut...

Been doing that in 2nd and 3rd mate and shes just not having it. Had the oil temp up at about 130 trying.

I probably cleaned it out a little too well before fitting if im honest but the cloud of smoke it puffs in the limiter is about twice what it was before so im hoping that one day shell be good for a little flame.

And my new number plate has finally turned up. Weighs less than 10g. It is reflective, in a legal font and carbon letters are FTMFW. Oh and fitted the mist jets too.

IIRC its 10mm border of background all round so im not far off. We wont talk about the letters being a couple of mm smaller than they should be.

Ebay mate.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/REFLECTIVE-STI...1550wt_698

Ive only got a front one ATM. Rear is a std one.

If you just give him your reg and tell him you want a front/rear then youll get a normal sized one. If you want smaller letters just ask.

It did take over a week to come though and the carbon letters arent amazingly well stuck to the backing but a quick session with the hair dryer appears to of solved that.

Oh and cos I know you want to know a std plate is 210g.

No, you cant use stick on headights and windows on a road car (but they do do it in drag racing and such like)

Right weights.

Cyclone with a 195/55R15 P6000 = 15450g

Rear wiper and arm = 457g
Rear wiper motor = 1553g
most of the rear washer hose = 243g
Cover under glove box = 365g
GTi6 boot trim (3 peices) = 313g
Rear light covers = 161g
Wheel wrench = 441g
Jack and holder = 2513g
CD changer and brackets = 2137g
CD changer cable = 316g
Spare wheel carrier and hanger bolt = 1694g
Rear headrests = 1604g
O/S lower rear seat = 3280g
N/S lower rear seat = 4260g

All rear seat belts and all seat bolts = 2790g
Front boot edge metal trim / seat mount = 940g
Rear edge roof lining trim = 120g
Boot lid wiper motor cover = 390g
Boot interior light = 10g
Rear foot well mats = 730g
O/S C pillar trim = 660g
N/S C pillar trim = 640g
Interior N/S 3/4 panel trim = 1860g

Fan difference = 3471g
Standard washer bottle = 493g
Kit car washer bottle = 246g

Washer bottle difference = 247g
Washer fluid difference = 3390g

Total so far is 87kg, sadly most of this is from the rear of the car and its definitely sitting high.

Did some drag runs at the weekend before removing the rear interior and my best was 15.9s on my own and with a 65kg passenger it was 16.1s so it just proves it makes a real difference to how fast you go.

Hoping to loose a bit more again soon. would be nice to eventually get down much nearer to the 1000kg mark, sadly alot of the easy /cheap stuff is now gone.

I gotta add, if anyone has a top glove box or a lower engine mount (the holder not the rubber) for sale id be incredibly interested. Also a non front fog light stalk and a cabby/sedan wiper stalk.

After Ed moaning about stripping the rear ruining the ballance I thought id guess where the weight has come from and try to reassess.

Here is the standard weights
[Image: attachment.php?thumbnail=1899]

Its 480 rear and 860 Front with a 64/36 ballance

Now at a guess is say its now 400 rear and 850 front and this gives a 68/32 ballance so only a 4% change or if i have this right imagine the COG between the wheelbase at the side, if the distance between them is 2m the COG has moved 8cm forwards.
