Service Stamp FAIL
#1
Finally gone out and ordered myself a stamp for service books / invoices for when I do work on peoples cars to make stuff look professional.

It turned up today

Spot the mistake

Yep nobody spell checked my text, I thought i had as i use google chrome and ordered online and as it didnt highlight anything I assumed it was correct and obviously the company didnt so now instead of Peugeot Specialist its Peugeot Specalist.

FML

Anyway, £2.50 and a phone call later and i have the correct die on the way to me.

Think I'm going to see if I can get a wild bean cafe one. Amount of coffee I get through from there is untrue!

Oh and don't they sign the nandos ones instead of stamping them?

Oh dear.. Atleast it was sorted easily enough and you hadn't stamped it loads of time in your service book though.

basically fraud in my eyes. I'm sure it will look good when you show the stamped up service book to the buyer though...

Why though, Im as well qualifyed as most of the local mechanics round here, Ive worked for honda cars and chiltern race motorcycles, I know more about the inner workings of a HDi than my local peugeot dealer mechanics so why shouldnt i stamp my books and anyone elses car that I do.

I do bits to peoples car for free when im bored and its a job i enjoy (or someone is going to feed me)

At the Endthe day, these are 10 year old cars minimum. People arnt really fussed about a fully stamped book. If the car was less than 3 yrs old and you was stamping it then I might see a problem because it could be seen as warranty fraud should anything break.
