Snapped Oil Pressure Sensor in block
#1
On out lasses 1.4 106 i removed the Oil pressure sensor (blue plug under the coilpack) in the process of trying to find a bad oil leak. Upon refitting he piece of shit has snapped clean off in the block so i am now left with a useless blue plug.

How can i remove this and is it ok to drive without been plugged in?

Thanks

Just took it for a quick drive and there does not appear to be any oil coming from there but is it likely to start pissing out on a longer journey or will it be to use as normal?

It will be ok to drive but just remember there will be no warning of drop of pressure so be vigilant.

You could try cutting a small cut in the end of the bit that's snapped and use a flat head screwdriver to get it out.

Should be ok as she checks the oil everyday due to the leak. Aslong as its not going to start pouring out of the hole. Its snapped inside the hole 2ish threads from the plug end so there's nothing sticking roud to grip or groove into

I still think these would work -

especially if it has snapped along the thread and there is no mating face left then there should be no pressure on it so it should wind out easily Smile
