GTi6 Splitter Fitting

The GTi splitter (bottom trim of front bumper) can be fitted to any phase 3 (round fog light) bumpers. It is a simple upgrade that can give your car a more aggressive look and also make it look more like a GTi6 if thatâ??s what youâ??re after

Parts and Tools
Really a simple job this, after jacking up the only tools youâ??ll need are a 10mm and 13mm spanner.

Here are the parts youâ??ll need to buy from Peugeot. You will need 14 of the clips and bolts. Prices are correct at time of writing.
Splitter pug part number 7414 L0. Cost £45.84 + VAT
Speed clips part number 6943 79. Cost £0.25 x 14 + VAT
Bolts for Speed Clips part number 6923 07. Cost £0.59 x 14 + VAT

In the picture below is the splitter as it comes, the clips you ordered are on the left but the splitter also comes with its own clips and bolts which are shown on the right. The clips are different types and fittings. Using a mixture of these clips makes fitting a lot easier then struggling to use just one type as the ones you bought bolt up from underneath and the ones that come with the splitter bolt in from the top.

So letâ??s get started. Jack car up or park with the front bumper hanging over a large overhang. (a double height kerb should be enough).

Choose right clips, the metal ones for when you can only get at them from underneath and slide them over bumper edge and keep the plastic ones clipped to the splitter for where you can get in from the top. This sounds complicated written but when you get under the car itâ??ll be obvious what I mean.

Align the splitter so the peg goes in on the rear edge of the bumper and start fitting bolts from the wheel arch edge. Only do the bolts up a couple of turns till youâ??ve got them all in on both parts of the splitter. You can now push on the splitter to get it to sit right as you tighten the bolts.

Finally put the car back on level ground and stand back and admire your work
