Thumbs Up
* Hey everyone, just made an account to get a bit more answers from the ones who might have them, so please no rubbish comments saying you cant do it, or it'll  take time/work/money etc... i have till October to get myself an engine (being a
1.9dturbo - LX DT or DT? is there a difference)  [Image: thumbsup.png] [Image: thumbsup.png] *

im not entirely sure what the difference is... [Image: thumbsup.png]

But my main concern is this.... i have a 1.9dw8 in my 306 ESTATE and have my eyes on a 405 estate to use as doner for my 306... [Image: thumbsup.png]

So do i need to get the entire engine bay/gearbox/clutch/driveshafts (anything else?) [Image: thumbsup.png] [Image: thumbsup.png] [Image: thumbsup.png]
Or can i do a straight engine swap and sstill use the same gearbox and clutch ??

If anyone has any questions that would be great, answers even better!! Thanks

306 wiring loom for the engine. Plug and play that way. Phase 2 xud clocks for.rev counter
Different elbow for.the turbo as turbo points different direction In 405
Downpipe
You also have to pull the gearbox pin and swap for the xud one. Also you'll probably need a different clutch cable due to pull Vs push type clutch.
Rad you can get away with but wouldn't advise. Try and get an xud rad as they're thicker.

Also ps
We don't think any engine swaps are silly here we've seen most of them. I believe piggys 2.1 started life as a 1.4

Pah! 1.6 I'll have you know! And it states that way for all of one day in my ownership lol

Be easier to find a 306 Xud9 for conversion tbh...due to all the parts needed as bash has highlighted!
Wishes for more power...
