Hi all,
Just thought I'd share my findings, I painted my calipers with Hammerite back in 2008 and then replaced carriers in 2015 but painted them with cailper paint.
Yesterday I replaced the pads and discs. When I removed the carrier to change the disc I had found the the back of the carrier had all started to rust and all the paint had come away but the cailper bodies that were coated in Hammerite were still all good, well not as bad. There were some chips and the colour had faded but there were no rust bubbles.
It surprised me how well the Hammerite done and how poor the caliper paint did compared to the older hammerite.
