So these engines are starting to get cheap and plenty full at the moment. An in my eyes easy enough to plonk into a 306 i mean they have them in 206s so i figure not that hard. Any thoughts on this

Would love to see this done as potential and easier for 200+ bhp than the DW10s.
Cant say ive ever seen it done either!

I'd love to see it be done for sure, just for the epic mpgs more than anything.

Long overdue, would handle well too with them being a significantly smaller lump. Has anybody done much research into these, which are the ones to have? I know the early ones suffered a couple of major design flaws, but i think that was mostly cleared up around 2006..? Haven't done the research myself.

I know a fair amount about them. I was trained at peugeot on them a few years back. Worked on enough to have the experience. Imo you would want one from an earlyish partner as they have the same bay design as 306. Should physically fit with minor mods. Also onbviusly the 206 ones with a diffrent bottom mount. That way driveshafts should fit as well. I really like the idea think it would be interesting. Unfortunatly dont have the money to put it into imediate action. Might be something worth looking into though. Just wondered what everyone thought and if anyone else knew more than i already do. Thats why I like the forum. No kne knows everything

How are they easier for 200bhp?

Bash I wanted to put one of these engines in a 106 NAD for super duper MPGs and 106GTi beating performance. It's entirely doable with an unlocked ECU.

Also why not buy one that's a runner and break it for parts to get your money back, this one looks ideal http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Citreon-picass...SwhlZYseg9

Im not saying its not possible. its very doabable and i am currently toying with the idea but its not something that can be "lashed up" due to the amount of wiring and various other bits that would need doing. I have an engine for my current vehicle coming from matt that will make decent power. I am very interested in this as a project though as they seem to have potential and ive read a fair few succsess stories about these on various forums in regards to tuning them and getting more power. They all seem to run into the same issues though. mainly fueling the dam things. starts running up mega bucks. Steve @hdi tuning seems to have had good sucsess with a decent turbo.

and thats in a 206. IF i were to end up doing it i think id just buy a full 206 a pull as much as possible from that

there's barely any extra wiring to do over an xud, its a self contained engine loom, so with an unlocked ecu its easy.

instead of a stop solenoid you switch the relay, connect the earth and the permanent live, same as doing an xud install, or a gti6.

if you want the gauges etc to work that's a bit extra..
need a part number? http://public.servicebox.peugeot.com/ and http://service.citroen.com/ will sort you out.

Steve at HDi tuning is fiddling with a DV6 engined C3 iirc, were some posts on facebook with some very promising numbers and graphs..

Will do 170bhp with a just a hybrid turbo and a 3bar map sensor

would think 200+ is achievable

Steve at HDI-Tuning got around 210bhp out of one with a hybrid turbo.
