Another new vehicle has arrived.

So, I now own a Mazda RX8.

My brother bought it about six months ago for £1800.
Clutch went about a month later so was replaced at massive cost to him due to his breakdown cover only relaying him to the closest garage and them taking advantage of the situation.
It's had a service and some tyres since he's had it. Goes very well and does skids with ease.
56k.
It's far from the best example, but also far from being the worst.

Yes, the number plate is wonky and annoying,  as are the scorpion Stickers,
but it cost me £500 so I'm not too fussed.

Plans are, abuse it.

I seriously doubt it.
At the kind of money I have paid, if it goes wrong, I'll sell the seats, wheels, bodywork, and exhaust and break even at worst.

Looked at putting some RX8 seats in my 205, weigh about 30kg though!

Do you have to do the silly shut off procedure with these?

Only need to do shut off malarkey if you stop it before its up to operating temperature. It'll still flood itself and not restart though.
It's worth so little that I won't spend much on it, I won't be changing the engine. Yet.
I do agree with what is said above, nice when working, expensive to put right. It works right now so it can stay.

Always liked these, they tick all the right boxes - coupé styling, RWD, capable chassis. I love the idea of the rotary but couldn't live with the fuel/oil costs unfortunately
