MOT Feedback Brake Pipe and Ball Joint
#1
I have the following advisory items on my MOT certificate

1 (both front and rear) Brake pipe slightly corroded

2 Offside front track rod end ball joint has slight play

3 Nearside front Anti-roll bar linkage ball joint dust cover damaged, but preventing ingress of dirt

4 Small oil leak

I'd appreciate your views on the urgency these items should be addressed with and if possible how much it would cost.

Thanks

The brake pipes will prob need doing for next years MOT as the were advised this year. Not much fun to change though. The anti roll bar link will prob start to make a knocking noise when it starts to have play in it. The track rod end prob be changed as they are cheap anyway. Cost bout £5 and are easy to do. And don't worry bout the oil leak. Every car has them! The MOT tester just has to make a note of it

1 (both front and rear) Brake pipe slightly corroded

wire brush off paint or rub grease on the line to stop further corrosion

2 Offside front track rod end ball joint has slight play

replace before next mot

3 Nearside front Anti-roll bar linkage ball joint dust cover damaged, but preventing ingress of dirt

these are cheap so get it replaced when you do the TRE above

4 Small oil leak

investigate it clean the area work out where and how much its leaking them make a decision on urgency
