in no great rush project
#1

picked up my first 306 for years this week .....for scrap money + a tenner.
its 1.8 16v, recent new clutch.
got it home and surprisingly cant find any major faults ... yet

plans for it
its never gonna be a power house so maybe just a induction cone or panel filter
 would it benefit a '6' exhaust manifold/cat ??
 30-40 mm drop
 good clean

jobs to do from what i've found so far
 discs and pads
the bloke i got it from said brown sensor on thermostat is knackered (affects the fans )??
prob need bushes some where
replace drivers seat, split across the front

fancy just doing some track days/hill climbs just for my own pleasure nothing too serious

anybodys tips, pointers are much welcome

Lots you can do to the 1.8 16v, it's a revvy thing. Depends on how much you're willing to commit really.

He went through quite a few possible options, you should be able to find some useful information in there that suits your budget.

Good plan, that'll make the biggest difference to how it drives. My advice would be to not worry too much about upgrading and just make sure everything is in tip-top condition. I see so many cars with big brakes and coilovers that drive like crap because they have got bushes hanging out, dead tyres and black brake fluid.

Sounds like you've got the right idea with your modding ethos tbh, keep us updated. Smile
