What car would you build with a 20% salary bonus?

Video
So here's a conundrum that is potentially realistically possible for people. Say you have a really well equipped garage at home and plenty of engineering talent, you get a tax free bonus in the region of 20% of your current gross annual salary and can only spend it on building a really cool car, what do you build?

I reckon a brand new Peel P50 replica kit and the engine out of one of those 650cc mopeds could be hilarious.

Erm.... I'd probably be able to afford a decent 306... With no change. So not much.

Bearing in mind it'd be something I'd be working on I'd probably go supercharged ZS with vvc engine and ported out head/coilovers/track spec so lightweight panels etc

20% would simply allow me to build around half of the 306 that I've always wanted to build.

Anyone can buy an Evo. Few could build something to beat one.

Anyway so very cool answers aside the financed Vauxhall/Ford stuff.

Id like to point out LS crate engines start at about £3500.

Still got a thing about a Smokey and the Bandit Trans Am. It'd need some modern Snowflake wheels though and about a foot of lowering. The one Gas Monkey did looked bang on, but was spoilt by having their graphics instead of the proper Firebird.
