Blowers not working
#1
Right my blowers started being intermittent and sometimes would work sometimes wouldn't.

I have now changed the heater resister, albeit for one that wasn't tested
And today I have changed the blower motor

Still nothing.

The heaters will get warm, but the air will not blow out of them, which I thought was the blower motor, but I've stuck another in and it still doesn't blow.

Is there a fuse? Or a resister?

If so which one, Google isn't helping

I had to change the relay by the fuse box the other day. It's the second green one from the left.

To check mine I just pulled the other green one temporarily and checked if it worked with that one.

I'll check it out later, last time I had a pull on one of those it wouldn't come out

Yep my relay was f*cked!
Pissed beyond all belief after forking out money for a new blower motor.
But at least I have a spare as the parts are being hard to find

Mine was melted like a lady garden, although I pulled the cover off, and I could bridge it with my fingers and it would work haha

It's gone balls up again.
It was all working fine for a few days, but it's gone again, the blowers are still making noise, just not blowing any air atall, and doesn't seem to get hot now

I've lost settings 1,2 and 3 and will only make noise on 4. This Litterally happened while driving home from work. Wtf is it?

That's the rheostat can buy them from pug for sub 15 quid. Hidden in the scuttle panel. Remove panel remove black plastic cover thing and its in the vent. Takes about 15 mins to change. Twists out. Smile assuming yours is non aircon model.

Also if its blowing air and not getting hot worth taking out glove box and having a look up there the vent bit may have broke. I cable tied mine back. Smile
On a break from 306oc for personal reasons. If anyone needs or wants me most of you have my number and or facebook messenger
Thanks for the good times guys n gals. I might be back. Who knows.

I swapped that out before and it worked better than it ever did, guess it was short lived. I'll change it again.
Is that what controls the 1-4?
Mine is non air con Smile

Do you mean the vent, where the air comes in from outside?

Is that the resistor thingy? If that one blows, won't it just go on max all the time, or can it brake the other way, so it gives to much resistance? Tongue

It just goes on max. So 1,2,3 wont work. 4 will work with blown resistor.

Changed resister again and it blows.
I'm hoping the lack of hot air is from the air flap blowing shut as the cable had snapped off the lever arm that controls it.

Will be going for a drive later so will see if it warms up
