Throttle cable adjustment

Hi,
The first part of the throttle pedal on my 306 doesnt increase revs. I think the cable is too long. Does anyone know how to adjust the throttle cable or know of a different way to fix it? Car is running a lucas pump Thanks

Take up the slack on the cable near the pump, there should be a sleeve with some slots on it to take the slack up
