cleaning rust off a rear beam
#1
Bought a disc beam from the UK.
No camber, 20% of the price I would have paid here in Norway. Nice!

It has a little bit of rust. Mainly on the arms or what its called. The ones that go from the beam to the disc and a little bit on both ends of the beam. Want to clean it up before I put it on the car.
Plan is to buy some rust eater, that chemically binds with the rust and stops it. Should I prime after, or could I just paint it with Hammerite after the treatment?
Or should I use a rust remover in stead of the eater?

What do you usually do when you buy a used beam? Smile
