Top tensioner bypass
#1
My top tensioner ( the one attached to the big spring) will not sit in a true position for an unknown reason? I've replaced the thing twice and itmonly lasts a couple moths before it starts throwing the belt off. Can I use a smaller belt and just avoid it using only the bottom tensioner?

Probably not, are you fitting new good branded units?
need a part number? http://public.servicebox.peugeot.com/ and http://service.citroen.com/ will sort you out.

My bottom pully is in good condition and the parts are fine. Its asif where the tensioner sits is warped and makes it sit on aa very slight angle. Over time it just kills the belt. So anyone know if I can just bypass it and just use the bottom tensioner?

I'd say new tensioners, replace it if it doesn't sit straight
