Power steering rack plastic cover
#1
I had a look underneath my 306 hdi and noticed the plastic cover has gone warn out. Its on the power steering rack underneath like a brown cover.

I was thinking wat can I use instead to keep it coverd up and clean. It saves the power steering getting damaged or correded etc?

Mine did have one of them plastic bag covers but it's also fooked. The later ones had a rubber boot. Cheap from pug I would expect.
Mind you, mines been hanging off since I got the car 18 months ago and it's never proved a problem.

Won't fail unless it's leaking fluid mate.

make something out of a piece of thin aluminium and then rivet some rubber(like floor mat) to it.

I've just looked on service box and can't find the new style boot for the life of me. Maybe they don't sell it separately.

I'm sorting the cover out shortly now. I found a few Parcel strong plastic bags seem good to use.
