Xsara VTS
#1
Just bought a 2002 Xsara VTS in mauve/lilac. 79k miles, no history, MOT til august for £400.

Drives ok bar the Triangle tyres and is almost completely standard (some crappy filter on the tb thats going).

Plans:

De-sticky the interior as its mega-grim right now.
Sort out the exhaust (needs a standard downpipe as the Klarius cat is turning on the EML)
New P bushes
Winter tyres
Needs bit of the front grill (ebay ordered)
Needs a parcel shelf (ebay ordered)
Needs belts and I think a tensioner
Need to fix the heater - lexia says the fan motor circuit is open and outer temp sensor not working

Its going to be used as an everyday by my missus as the Saab shat its bottom end. Love the ride quality and it has a 7.5k rpm limit?!

Bet its a pain in the arse...Wink

Sounds good for £400 - gotta be worth that just for the MOT 'till summer.  What the hell are 'Triangle tyres' though?

£400 sounds like a bargain especially seeing as they have some better than 306 parts. Shotgun the steering rack if you break!

Not going to break it in a rush. Triangle tyres are bloody bad. Really scary bad.

Photos once it has the grille. Quite like the colour now Smile

Vts are so cheap atm, ugly as f*ck but definitely make a fun car.

Worst case the head goes you still have a rack, beam and scrap the rest and probably still be up Smile
