Pump seal
#1
Hi,

I re sealed my Bosch pump a year ago which is still going strong but I've now found fuel in the LDA cylinder. I am assuming there is a small oring sealing the pin that protrudes into the LDA cylinder (I stupidly didn't change it at the time).

Question is, can it be done in situ or does the head have to come off?

 Thanks in advance Smile

Looking at the head there is a Allen headed cap opposite the pin. I have a spare head somewhere in the depths of the shed so will take some pics.

You won't get it out easily to replace seal, they normally leak if you lda grind is too severe causing the pin to come past the o ring / seal

So if I turn it back (LDA)it could stop the leak?

Just to follow this up, it looks like it can't be done on the engine or to be honest by anyone without the correct tools. I've mopped the oil out of the cylinder and turned the LDA pin round to a standard slope. Will check it in a week to see if its helped.
