Estate rear ride hight
#1
Ok, I've got a recon rear axle for my estate car. I asked for it to be built with the torsion bars set one spline higher coz I'm fed up with the back of car dragging on the deck! Now I've got it all stripped out and on reassemble I've found the rear shocks aren't long enough! I should have realised this would happen. Anyone else come across this? Or know where I can get some longer shocks? They're 320mm centre to centre I need 350mm.
Cheers Martin

that's normal, you always need to compress/raise the arm to get the damper bolts in.
need a part number? http://public.servicebox.peugeot.com/ and http://service.citroen.com/ will sort you out.

just put a brick or some think under the wheel and let the car down a bit so the bolt holes line up.

oh and you cant get longer shocks only shorter ones.

You will need to much force to put the damper back to their place if the car still lifted up, You can use some tricks to put them back like a jack under the rear end arm of both side or as the Craig306 said, that will easily for you.
