GTi6. beam bearings and stub axle measurements
#1
Anyone got the SNR part numbers for the beam bearings, both inner and outer??

Be buggered if I'm paying extra for the SNR bearings to come in a Peugeot package....rebuilding a beam and have got it stripped down. Bearings are OK but getting pulled and replaced anyway. Stub axles look pretty good but want to measure to be sure so need the measurements of a good shaft please (and no, 9" isn't the answer... Rofl  Rofl )

The stub axle is the piece that the rear wheel bearing sits on? The trailing arm shaft is the piece that goes into the beam tube, I suspect its this measurement you want, not a stub axle?

Yeah, that's the one.....

Need to know the measurements of one at New so I can compare the ones I've got to see if they need replacing or not.

47.0mm and 42.0mm, although if they're knackered you'll be able to see it, no need to measure.

Shafts are measuring at:

Outer bearing end:
47.03mm
47.01mm

Inner bearing end:
42.02
42.05

So the shafts appear to be well within spec?

look at the wear pattern, a bearing wont last too long on those.

They were covered in grease and general shizzle.....looked ok until I wiped them down!!!

Not that I know of. Bought as a spare to refurb while the one on my Rallye is still there so I can move it about.

Didn't make any noises or have any camber. Not bothered anyway. Got this and a ser of Rallye seats for £90!
