oil recommendations?
#1
Do oil brands differ much in quality? The prices certainly do for the same quantity? What brands do people recommend? (50 10/40)

Cheers.

No thats too thin, 10w40 at the lowest.
IIRC it was 15w40 in the ph.1 manual, the one and only time I bothered to check.

I have used Valvolene Durablend 10w40 in all my cars for the past 20 years.. including 2 306 D-turbos and a GTi-6 which has done 140,000 hard miles in my ownership. Can't fault it.

clicky.

Peugeot often sell 20L total quartz 9000 5w40 for about 50 quid. Well they do in Tewkesbury.
It works well, although I'm using Motul Sport now as I get it through work.
