O/S mirror only working in a single direction. Diagnosed with pictures.

So my mirror hasnt worked since i bought it. Motor makes sound and the mirror will only move in the upward direction. So i knew the motors in the mirror worked.

I decided to take it apart to see if i could fix this. (Spoilers: I couldnt).
(sorry about image quality, my replacement phone cost me £20.)

To remove the glass, Just pry the outer side of the mirror apart gently with a screwdriver. Youre looking to unhook a couple of metal wires.
These wires are the ends of a clip holding the mirror in place. The move easily by flicking with the end of the screwdriver.

Wires were attached to the mirror, just pull off easily.

This image shows a small white plastic arm coming from the left motor (Not the white plate across the top). On the other motor there SHOULD be another arm, But i found this broken off. Which is why my mirror isnt working. Left motor controls up and down movement, and right motor controls side to side movement.

Also, looks like the previous owner just placed a new mirror on top of the old broken one. So i guess the heater in it wont work so well, haha. Im assuming the broken glass is related to the broken motor arm. Seems logical.

So it looks like ill be buying a new mirror!
Just thought id post this up if anyone else ends up with a similar issue.

Haha, yes. I'm reaching out to push it back after every journey. I love it.
