PP2000 help. Pics and videos inside 2.0 hdi

Had it hooked up and everything looks normal apart the third piston deactivator coming on at 1.5k.

It originally wouldn't come on when I first had it hooked up and that was holding the revs all up the range .

Here's some pics/videos

This one shows the revs fluctuating even though i'm holding the revs steady

This one shows the 3rd piston deactivator coming on at 1.5k I'm unsure when it is supposed to kick in

21 degrees IAT? That's not right at this time of year, tried a maf? Videos don't work by the way. Is this the same problem as you had the other thread/s for?

The car has been stood for a little while. I revved it and it started dropping.

Yes same problem

Let me try with the videos again

I've unplugged the 3rd piston deactivator and it has made it feel a load better

Still holding back a tad full throttle

Ah fair, that explains that one.

Right ok, see if we can keep it one thread in future, makes it a lot easier to keep track.

Videos only work on my phone apparently, odd... There are huge fluctuations in req vs actual pressure there, but if you've replaced everything i don't see how there can be, i would expected the ecu to get upset at that. I take it there are no fault codes?

No fault codes weirdly before I unplugged the 3rd piston deactivator. I haven't checked it since.

But it's 100% better on acceleration and doesn't feel like it's holding back half as much.

I wonder if I've killed the hp pump when the fuel hose popped off while I was going along

Sorry would of kept it with the other one, forgot I made it to be honest

I've got a r70 pump to go on so see what it does after that.
Going to be plumbing up the IC soon. That'll eliminate the egr letting by or any boost leaks

You're alright mate, it's mostly for your benefit tbh, else i inevitably end up going through all the same questions twice, which i'm told can be irritating. lol

Er, fuel hose popped off while you were driving?? Was it the feed hose? If so the pump will have run dry, which will most likely have killed it i'm afraid.

That said, unplugging the third piston deactivator shouldn't have made any difference as it should only be active under low-load conditions and the default position is closed...

Does seem odd there's no fault codes from that though, fuel pressure issues normally cause havoc with the ecu. Bit lost on this one tbh, i think you've tried everything i can think of.

The fuel pressure was staying steady the whole time weirdly.
Just it wasn't running on all 4 because of the piston deactivator

Make a video of fuel pressure and duty cycle to fuel pressure regulator and make sure RPM and IQ is visible too.
