Hi, picked up another 306 yesterday 2001 1.4 meridian and it has a light in the instrument cluster orange one to the right of the airbag sign and a button bellow the head light adjuster that i dont have on my 2000 1.4 meridian can some one enlighten me.

light means the passenger airbag has been disabled using the key switch shown in the second pic, and the switch is to disable rear windows in a 4/5 door
need a part number? http://public.servicebox.peugeot.com/ and http://service.citroen.com/ will sort you out.

The light will come on every time you start the car. If it goes out shortly after, ignore it, as it means the airbag is functioning properly. If it's on all the time then it is switched off as welshpug says.

Wrong. The left and middle one (if it has side air bags) will come on but the right hand one won't. Like welshpug says, its only comes on when someone turns the passenger air bag off with the key switch.
