Sump oil temp plug

Sump oil temp plug

Afternoon All

has anyone monitored there oil temp from the sump? or is it not do able on the 306 cause the thread pitch being M14X1.25 is a bit out there

the 306 gti6 oil temperature sensor is m14 x 1.25 and the HDI sump plug is m14 x 1.25 so if you have 2 sump plugs (i know i have) then you should be able to use the upper one a "6" sensor (or a after market one) as your oil temp then you would just need a gauge to read the sensor

Getting hold of a M14 sensor it's a bit hard and a gti 6 one is 55 quid just for the sensor think il go with a couple of adapters

Just get a second hand sensor? In fact i may even have one here you can have for £10 posted.
