Phase 2 cooling fan removal help

Hey everyone,
I'm trying to remove the cooling fans complete with the plastic shroud from the car.

I am having difficulty locating the fan wiring socket so I can completely remove the unit from the car.

Is there a plug or do the wires need cut then resoldered. Thanks peeps

plug is on the nearside low down on the rad cowl

Ok, I know where your talking about and I know this sounds stupid :O but how do you disconnect it lol

Should it just pull straight out as it really wont

Twist the collar

as above spray some wd40 on the collar and turn it anticlockwise and it should eject itself

I have tried. but will try again tomorrow. she really is a tight old bitch. thanks muchly guys beautiful looking 306 pig. im not going to say i hope lol my car will end up being that standard
