Has anyone tried fitting one of the omex launch control rev limiters to the gti6 engine? On spoox website it says the twin coil one is suitable for the gti6?

No not suitable for the gti. Gti is fully sequential. Plus it's not really launch control anyway. Just a temp lower rev limit.

Yeah I know what they do and that I was just looking at the wiring diagrams and was like how would that work on a 8 wire system. On another note has anyone converted them to run plugs and leads?

Yeah I have but I'm using a Omex ecu instead of the original

No not really. The 106 gti runs the 1ap ecu but semi sequential but you would have to fit the 106 engine loom and have the ecu remapped so really not worth the hassle.

Why Plugs and leads, [Image: DSC04355_zps90ed99a0.jpg]

Nice neat solution on the 600.

Lunch control on 4 cylinder engine's is pretty crap, the DTA is better here along with Motec.

Don't believe everything you read

XSi or 1.8 etc coil pack works fine, you need to adjust things to make it fit but HT leads are a thing of the past and externally mounted coils look crap

I run an Emerald ECU on mine now, and I have tried the launch control on it.

Works pretty well, but in my opinion it's pretty pointless on a road / track car.
