I've decided to join as I was lucky enough to have a new GTI6 many moons ago and I still hanker after one all this time later. I wanted to join a forum to get people's opinions about what they are like these days. And just to be sociable!

Welcome... They are still awesome cars and cheap to buy now. Parts are easy to come by as unfortunately more and more get broke for spares. get one now before they all disappear.

 They can be picked up for pennies now but you have to be careful not to get a lemon. They went through a stage of being "just another run about" and because of that, a lot of people let them fall into disrepair. That said, most for sale on the forums have been owned by enthusiasts and will be in good nick and well looked after. If you buy another, budget to have to do a few little niggles on it
