Then again, would you have bought a 306 HDi if people had gone around telling you the crank pulley is likely to fail and snap the cambelt, or the lift pump is likely to fail and leave you stranded 200 miles from home, or the P bushes are likely to snap and leave you on a 70mph corner with the wheels heading in both directions... Confused

There are common problems with all cars unfortunately, some more expensive than others, some more impractical than others (for example, if an XUD blows a rod, a replacement engine is cheap...but that's only any use if you have time, space and tools to replace it!). But the point is none of them are fail-proof and theres always someone with a bad experience/opinion of each car lol. Sad
