Not a pug I know

BUT

How hard do you reckon it would be to change the bosch pump on my engine.

Its got good access (with the inlet removed) and a timing chain.




Also do you think itll run bearing in mind im swapping from a semi ECU pump to a full mechanical

Think that's a common mod for the boys running VP37 pumps, swap the assemblies over, or just swap the whole pump if you have another.

What pump are you putting on?

Depends what the pump is tbh.. And depends whether you're competent with timing up engines with chains, it's not much different in theory, just more of a twat to do, do you have the guide for how to do a cambelt on that engine?

Ive done alot of reading and found 2 guides

Basically as long as i use the special tool to remove the pump and dont let the pulley fall off then as long as i align the woodruff key back into the pulley it should be fine.

Shouldnt be that bad at all, im sure it cant be to hard to time back up even if you do let the pulley slip, but yeah, if you maintain pulley to chain, it wont loose time, probs be able to zip clip the chain to the pulley to ensure it dosnt slip...
