EGT guage

Where do you guys fit egt sensors?

Presume intake side of Turbo would be favourite as this is the part most suseptable to damage?

Also, does anyone how acceptable temps for both oil and exhaust gases?

Don't think I have seen much higher than about 800deg

1200 on my hdi, but that was foot on the floor up a big hill at 3 figure speeds lol
