306 HDI Daily smoker workhorse

You'll have to bear with me as I've copied and pasted from another forum, some of it may not make sense.

2001 'Y' HDi LX
Lowered 50mm on Coilovers (were brand new) and Rear lowered with new uprated shocks
K&N Induction Kit
Estimated 130bhp with remap

Pretty sure most of you are familier with it, due to it being Sam's old one but a few pictures to start it off

The cyclones refurbed in graphite grey, will put them on tomorrow

General condition of alloys before I started

Prep'd

Primered

Colour coat

Finished

Well the wheels are on, adjusted the tracking slightly while I was at it.

Also gave it a good clean and a full polish and wax!

Think the wheels look ok, thinking maybe lime green calipers when I do the brakes! Not sure if it needs to go a little lower yet, going to give it a few weeks and see what I think.

And the stereo in Smile

Had been driving it for about 6 months, been bob on. Ive put new bottom arms on it, full service, cambelt and waterpump. New front tyres and mot sorted.

Could just do with some new front pads/disks.

Just put some roof bars on it, for the bike. Thinking of dropping it a little more and maybe a black roof and bonnet badge, also some more stickers for the back window.

Why can I not just leave my cars alone

Thinking of bright green calipers next (anyone know where I can get bright green paint to cover metal?)

Also after a super cheap backbox with a 3inch tail pipe then I'll straight through the exhaust system from the turbo back.

Also thinking maybe a further drop of 20mm so its down to 60mm.

Finally I might do a black/checker/union jack roof and get a few more stickers for the back window.

[Image: P1090810.jpg]Few of the HDI (AKA my daily work horse/smoker)

Been messing a bit more.

Needed new brakes as I was getting back wobble through the brakes when I was giving it beans. Anyhow, had to mess while I was at it.

Before! Shot discs and pads

New items

And Bright green

Also stuck a few new stickers on and added a union jack to the roof (Ive a better photo but its on my camera, these are off my phone)

Well I put a full scorpion stainless exhaust on it, but after being put on consultation at work for redundancy, its time to start looking to sell stuff on. I've got a for sale thread up if anyone is interested in it.

Shame as it sounded well and looked spot on

And the 2 of them together

Well shortly after christmas, I had a small bump in it, nothing major and just abit of panel damage.

Sorted it out with a fresh wing and light and then drove about with the bumper zip tied for 2 months, anyhow, few weeks back managed to sort out a bumper and its nearly back to its former glory. Just need to sort out the small nick in the bonnet.

After the bump

Zip tied 'drift style' bumper

And working hard for its keep

Then pretty much sorted, and a recent buy of a roof box ready for my Le Mans Trip. Though I think its a little too big, Think I might spray it up silver and sticker it up yet.

And thats pretty much as it is. I'll get one of the rallye done when I get chance but its 6 years of it changing and might take abit to get it done.

Been getting it ready for Le Mans!

Spent a full day saturday on it.

New rear beam off a gti6. Lowered it to match (took an age) and put new bearings in the beam and wheel bearings.
New brake pads
Oil and filter change
Brake fluid change
New front tyres
New drop links
New wishbones
New Balljoints
Tracking done.

Also got the roofbox painted up ready to get stickering. Not happy with the spray job, the textured finish to the plastic is coming straight through to the paint layer, so not got a smoth finish, tried a few coats of hi build primer but its not touched it, Not wanting to spend a fortune on rattle cans Ive made do for the few times a year it will actually get used.

Nice car Smile

Think the wheels would look smarter in silver, but I guess being black means you don't have to clean them as often!
Disclaimer: The above is not to be taken to heart and is probably a joke, grow up you big girl.
