Anyone know if a 306 axle would go onto a 309?

a 309 goes on a 306... but i think the 309 beam is wider... so i wouldnt be replacing it with a 306 one.

What about a 205 one? Would you know if that fits a 309?

I would imagine that that is the same or even narrower than a 306 one.

it is but I thought that the 205 beam was diffrent bolt patterns. Hencce why people us 306 trailing arms in 205 beams to give extra tracking on a 205 instead of swapping bean

205 and 309 are same bolt patterns/fitment, 306 is different.

A 205 beam would be to narrow, the tube is where the l;ength is different. Mounts as said are different as well but this can be got around but not worth the hassle when you can sell buy new tube's from Pug for £300.00

so the 205 axle isnt just a straight swap? what kind of work is involved in changing the mounts to fit a 309? ive got a good 205 axle on my drive and it may aswell not go to waste It might might not seem it but £300 is a bit steep for me to be honest
