firstly i would like to apologise if this breaks any advertising rules on this forum, and i fully understand if it is removed by the moderators.
Peugeot 306 1.4 meridian.
1998 S.
very low milage.
one owner.
near showroom condition.
as a result of my Mum buying a new car (well, newer) we now have more cars than usable parking spaces.
we would like the car to go to someone who will look after it in the way it has become accustomed.
the car has only ever had one owner, has been garaged it's entire life (was a showroom model, so didn't even have to sit outside there.) and until recently was still wearing the OEM spec Pirelli p6000's (this last tyre change the p6000's were unavailable)
the car is unbelievably clean with only a few minor swirls in the paint (sponge ftl) but i suspect a going over with the DA polisher will sort them out.
i am unaware of any damage to the car other than a couple of stonechips.
no rust that i can remember. will have to inspect the car when i'm home.
the non-standard parts fitted are as follows:
aftermarket stereo head unit (the tape deck liked to eat the casettes)
aftermarket foglights (replacements for the OEM units as they had rusted. we still have the old ones that could be re-chromed)
bird poop. (in those 10 seconds between cleaning and putting away, it happens every time.
the car has had a replacement fusebox as the old one was faulty (although Peugeot couldn't find the fault until it was just out of warranty... convenient)
the car has always been regularly serviced, usually less than 1000 miles between. the oil is nearly as clean on the way out as when it went in.
as i don't get told much i don't know what Mum is wanting for the car, so if anyone is interested then feel free to make an offer, i will try and add more details as i can find them, if there is anything else you need/want to know then please ask.
edit, additional info.
milage, 42,362
5 doors
Air conditioning
tax to 31/10/12 (cost £130 for this year)
MOT to 24/10/12
asking price, £1000.00 or near offer
has some stonechips i hadn't been informed of. pics to follow.

we're in cambridgeshire, east anglia.
we know it's pushing the boundaries asking £1k but for a car that has only ever needed a windscreen, a fusebox and then consumables over the last 14 years it's been more reliable than other newer cars in our household.
as pointed out above with the Derv coments, perfect for a project to turn it into something better like a GTI, the car has never been in an accident, and as you can see, with private plates it would take a true anorak to guess the year.
found the radio code in the paperwork, so if we find the stereo in the meantime it could be thrown in as well incase it has any value to anyone.
car mats are the originals it had from showroom, the design has faded a bit , but with a hoover out they come up looking pretty damn good.
anyone genuinely interested is free to have a look round the car, i know it's a fair distance for some, so if you have a mobile mechanic or trusted forum member on the site who can look for you then that's fine too.
we would ideally like to sell the car as soon as possible, so i think it'll probably be going on the bay of E sometime soon if it's not sold either on here or locally.

it's nice condition mate but low spec . . . .ie no colour coded doorhandles, worse seats they ever fitted, it's also a phase 2 which is the least popular . . . . .you may get 5-800 for it imo . .:-)
oh and the worse engine they ever fitted too . .

tbh mate there are a few things you could do to make it more appealing to buyers, spraying the pillar trims, only like £10 to do, and people will be more interested

Ever driven a NAD?
On a serious note, I'm afraid I have to agree with the others, low spec phase 2s just aren't really desirable, I only got 900 from selling mine 2 years ago!

only took close ups of driver side doorcards, all 4 same condition.
btw, is it still poverty spec with front fogs and aircon?
oh, and actually has 2 rear fogs, cheap gits only fit one at factory despite holders for both.
car has been mum's baby from new, so no chance of it being broken, sorry.

They're velour not suede BTW.
And yes, ac and fogs were standard on all except really basic models! Half leathers, leather 4 spoke wheel, colour coded bits, auto wipers are all on ph3 meridians. Better specced than a lot of modern cars lol!
