Rear beam lowered
#1
How much should I go down at the back if I'm dropping the front 40mm?
How many nicks would anyone recommend?
1.9 diesel Phase 2 - scrapped
1.8 meridian Phase 3 - going strong!

Dont use the nicks method. Its not the right way and you dont get the same amount of adjustment.

To be honest some time the torsion bars don't aways come out so it has to be done the notch method but I don't see how people say there is a 'right' or a 'wrong' way. Just with the notch method you don't have as much adjustment. What ever way you do it you will get what your aiming for which is a lower rear axle

I would say though if you got 40mm springs fit them and see how it looks.

I failed on both the notch method and also removing the torsion bars! Have applied heat. Have soaked in penetrating fluid for almost a month. Had damn torsion bar lol.

Sometimes they dont come out at akl. I had one like this on a previous 306. Ended up replacing axle. Then just out or curiosity it took me getting the old one pink with acetalyne and a sledge hammer to.get out and both trailing arm bearing were buggerd
On a break from 306oc for personal reasons. If anyone needs or wants me most of you have my number and or facebook messenger
Thanks for the good times guys n gals. I might be back. Who knows.
