Would there be any benefit in puttin a hdi airbox and piping in a tuned xud? Everyone seems to think they're a real good setup.

Not meant to be great for turbo diesels and the hdi one is meant to be good for any bhp. Just wonderin is the xud one restrictive when you have a stage 1 tune.

Any air intake is restrictive on a turbo car
Defiltered ftw! If u have the balls

Its the pipes on the xud one that are restrictive, the hdi one is layed out better. The pipes go round the back of the top mount interwarmer between it and the bulkhead and they're a silly shape, then they almost pancake to go down to the turbo.
Doesnt even own a 306.

steel the intake piping from a 405, that's what i have and it's a lot better than 306 . .
Phase 1 D-Turdo, K14@24 psi, De-cat, meaty backbox, Bosch pump, grinded LDA pin, duel air fed K&N =133.7bhp & 188ft/lbs

I use a large airbox from a ducato van and pipework from various vans and cars. Still can reach 28psi happily
