Seems expensive to me.

Have you tried Brentacre?

(I used flux when I was 17/18 as no one else did modders insurance for me at that age...never had any issues other than huge premium...flux have never managed to get even close to my renewal for last 2years)

yeah brent acre wanted £739, they'll match if I give them proof of flux quote. but with flux offering dac its a big bonus.

plus its usually down to my area even though its not a bad area at all...

I was with Adrian flux for a few year for motorbikes, never had to claim so can't rate them too much, but customer service as always good if you wanted to change the policy or if you're gonna be a day or 2 late on a payment...

they said if I can get proof of quote theyll match it, but they cannot offer drive any car.
I think drive any car can come in handy now and again.

A few people are saying theyre pricey but they come up cheapest for me. Greenlight was £667 but they said they couldnt match flux.

I think ill have to bite the bullet with flux. Does anyone know if they charge to add mods to your policy later on?

I think with greenlight they prefer slightly older drivers as I got qoute when I was 24 then one when im now 25 it's 300 pound difference.

I also went with flux because I though that they did the best deals for modified cars or how foolish I was lol

Driving other cars? I have it with mine with Flux, TPFT and I was 22 when I took out the policy. Have 4 years NCB on the policy if that makes a difference.

I'm with flux and by and large they have been great apart from a couple of years ago at my renewal they gave it the "we promise to beat any quote like for like" and then wouldn't beat (or even match) a quote I'd got elsewhere.

Oh and I had driving other cars with flux at about 22

Im demanding it at renewal time then, i wanted to go to brentacre but i was in the same position £100+ difference in price meant i stayed with flux. I think any insurance company will try and get out of it come claim time.

Only certain schemes can cover INCDOCS, it's not just age that makes you qualify.

I've insured guys from here on just third party fire & theft that gave the driving other cars benefit at 21, it's not a case of if you want it you can have it, there's a criteria to be met - age, occupation etc.

Before anyone asks me, no I can't personally sort you out I'm afraid as I don't work on quotes anymore. Call 0800 018 0035, that's the dedicated club number.

My policy charges pretty much 50 quid minimum per modification....so even when I declare things that really shouldn't count for peace of mind I get slapped with a huge bill for f*ck all after being on hold for ages while they figure out what I just said.

I think it's because I have 4 years no claims, I was really suprised when they offered it me.

Modification dependant.

As a rule of thumb, if you're on a modified policy, cosmetic mods won't change the premium - but without seeing what scheme you're quote is on, I couldn't confirm. Give the number I posted a call & ask them to confirm.

Btw, NCB means nothing to the DOCS benefit, you either get it or you don't.

Ok Cheers mate.

Brentacre will let me know of they can match flux tomorrow, if they do it'll be hard choice.

Make sure you give Flux our club name as we have a discount scheme with them so it should hopefully drop your price a little more, unless you've already done that Smile

Don't forget as well the DAC is also dependant on who your insurer is. Don't forget, Flux isn't your insurer. Just a broker.
