Bosch pump from anything ?

If I'm swapping a Bosch pump in place of the lucas, does it need to have come from the XUD family?
Like with the internals interchange, will any Bosch body fit up to the XUD9 mount?

I've got a couple of pumps stored, but no engine to compare against at present

No, not every bosch body/ casing will fit to an xud mount.
In fact I just wouldn't bother trying to adapt anything other than an xud pump.
