Project Daily Wagon! Y418AKH HDI Estate

Haha, same as me mate!

Hows the starting, still ok?

I'm a bit pissed off, the tire scrubbing wasn't to bad with the shit knackered wishbones but with the new ones the tires are catching the front of the arches and liners now. I should be replacing the springs this weekend and raising the ride height to my dismay.

I'm so glad I didn't sell that rear axle, I've tried stripping it but all the screw are rusted solid. God knows how bad the torsion bars are going to be to get out when I get to that stage.

Its easy with the stud in just have to leave the nut on the end so you don't damage the thread had the gearbox back on and lined up in 5minutes!

Right well the car runs again clutch is so much nicer!

It's had
LUK clutch
Clutch cable
New gearbox fork bushes and driveshaft seals

Feels a lot nicer although the clutch cable needed a few miles to sort itself out as got to a roundabout and it wouldn't slide into any gear!

Pedal was about an inch off the floor but its now like my other car.

Few pictures of the boost gauge plumbed in and engine bay

Have you had any more issues with the starting? I think my brown relay might be on its way out to as I couldn't hear the lift pump prime last night I also couldn't connect to the ECU, I think the brown relay sends power to the two.

Touch wood not had anymore problems with starting after replacing that relay, tell a lie I've had 1 time where it's not wanted to start but ign off and back on and it fired up.

How's your estate going?

Just bought another hdi as a kind of donor for the estate Wink
