Estate roof rails?

My roof rails have a couple of rust patches, can they be resprayed?

if you sand them down so that the bubbles go away and the surface is smooth then you should have no problem respraying them. I bought a spare set of roof rails for my estate to do exactly this. I then never got round to it. Give it a go. You can always get another set.

Ye can be there ali I handed mine down and left them look good imo. Like brushed

Yeah easy to do but use a decent paint like hammerite as the metal is pretty porus

They arent ally so might want a red oxide primer. They are horrid things made of really shit metal

Interesting as I want to respray mine just rough them up and spray them same as the alloys
