On my phase 1 there is a cubby hole by the drivers vent but in other 306's there's dimmer switch, do these plug straight in to mine?

Probably not...but easy to check if the wirings there. That plate also includes rear window cut off, passenger airbag deactivation and electric headlamp adjusters....so you'd have a lot of blanks on a ph1 lol.

If.you get a ph1 plate will have the dimmer there and im 90% sure the wirings behind too

Yeah on a Ph.1 '6 there's just dash lighting dimmer.
Not sure what other wiring may or may not be behind it but I suspect none of it.
