AN Sizing
#1
Im trying to get my head around what size bits I need to plumb in my cooler.

The threads on the top of the cooler are 20mm. I want to get some of these:

But don't have a scooby which size I should be buying. I've tried looking at conversion charts but can't make heads nor tails of them. Can anyone help? Huh

Think Automotive Just off the m40 do these fittings. We could pop up there one day this week and take the cooler and see which you need? Ill probably need to go and pick up some silicone hoses anyway!

My advice would be take the cooler to a plumbing supplies place and try screw a few nuts/joiners on to it, then whatever size they are, erm, thats the size Wink

Sound spot on mate. Otherwise I can see I'm gonna have a sea of parts that don't fit lol

Well, the union on top should be m20x1.5 at a guess, you sure it's a metric thread?! I've found some with bsp fittings...

Anyway you'll want to get m20x1.5 to AN8 I'd expect for oil cooler hose, that's 1/2"... AN10 would be 5/8" bore and AN12...

The fitting would be called an AN8 90* swivel hose fitting at a guess...
