Iv bought a kwp2000+, managed to install all the drivers, after i run the software and identified the ecu giving me all its series numbers i then click the read button and it askes me where to save it, i select an empty folder in c: and it either wont read it wont save, it says waking ecu...... Then a few seconds later says "internal hardware error". Iv tried everything, just cant seam to get it to work. Really starting to give up now. Anyone had this problem before

I had this problem too bud,
Seller said they had a lot of bother with the kwp, returned mine with a small refund my way and got a galleto 1260 (~£12 new) which has done me since! Not a bit of bother out of it.

One thing to try, reduce the read speed from fast to slow, see if it makes any difference
