well you say decent but they do have a tendency to bend rather than flex/ snap and then they start doing things they shouldnt

Dot go for the cheap metal ones. Get the plastic ones!

I would start on the back first then do the front as if you can't do the back you dot want to have ye front right down low. Trying to do the beam and lower will be a massive job in one day. Good luck...

Think Dec is just swapping beams with an already lowered one.....so its only a few bolts in the boot, brake cables and lines and thats it iirc? (Correct me if I'm wrong lol!)

Also ECP plastic droplinks will be fine mate, its what I had on mine. Smile

Yup, tbh lowering it shouldnt be difficult as its just swapping the beam and swapping complete struts.....no need for slide hammers or spring compressors! Big Grin

Might be worth noting that sams engine is A LOT lighter than yours so you're going to be getting a lot more than a 40mm drop

Tbf I'd give two days for this, a day for the beam and all it's problems and a day for the fronts and it's seized to bugery bolts lol

dec the cheap plastic drop links are fine - i used metal one's once and as soon as they took a nip or clink, they're ruined - plastic are a lot more durable for what they do... my car gets chucked all over the place and holds fine..

If you have a new strut made up and ready to put on including a new top mount, you could have the struts changed in less than 1 hour quite easily

As foxy said, the rear could take up to 2 days if you havn't got the right tools/knowledge.

especially with the lines, can be annoying..

And before you take anything off your car, check the bleed nipple on the brakes of the new beam!

the bleed nipple will be on the end of the calliper iirc, should be covered by a small plastic cap - remove the cap, make sure the bleed nipple screws out - and for bonus, remove it completely and blow through it, make sure its free flowing..

The bleed nipples normally sheer off which will mean you will need to get another caliper or drill the old one out!

OR just be careful with it - mine moved straight away, no problems at all... as long as the cap has been covered it should be fine - WD40 IF you want..
