Is a phase 1 gti6 rear beam a straight swap into a phase 2, 1.9td non abs drum set up apart from hand brake cables?

Yes....apart from one possible thing...

the brake pipes may need swapping too, depending on if the ph1 beam has a compensator or not and same for the ph2 car

PS all you need to do is use the brake lines from yours really, just may need to remove the compensator from the ph1 beam

both phase1 and 2 gti6 will have an identical compensator, only late phase3 doesn't have one due to EBD.


you will need that compensator, yours being small drum non abs will have pressure limiters integrated into the rear wheel cylinders.
