HDI Mapping

Thats why I wanted to see a 30-70, have always thought the usual stage 2 should be quicker if someone fuelled it up top properly so yours shouldn't be much different from a full fat whippy map. I'd still be interested to see the result, but don't worry if you'd rather not.

Its pointless showing you a 30 to 70 really as the clutch slip is hurrendous full throttle. JP has sent me a new map to alleviate this further but my clutch slips from 2-3k and it makes set rev/speed runs hard to achieve really.

It drives more like a petrol at the minute due to the loss of torque and fuelling for 160bhp up top, but the map is exactly what I need atm so is great.

Ill be getting a clutch soon so will be able to show u 30-70 with extra power up top aswell as the torque then I guess. Clutch is toast lol

Ah I see, thats a pity. I thought jp was detorquing the map so the clutch would take it, my mistake.

i detorqued it pretty much all the way to just above stock low down, circa 170-180lbft and then fuel it hard high up to the hard cut.

Have you had a gander at edc16 yet JP? Doesn't look too bad.

Yes, it's all torque demand... pretty simple though.

There you are guys, the HDi 30-70 you were after.

Looks ~ 6-7 seconds to me

DONT FORGET; The clutch is fubar'd and as said in the video description the torque is very limited down low Smile

Sounds good pal.
Jamma would be nice to see what a dyno of what yoy can pull from a stage 1.
Im currently running whippy stage 1, 110k mile, full service, straight through exhaust not sure on diameter and new clutch kit a year ago. Mine pulled 127bhp and 208ftlbs torque. But I had the torque limited as it was made for my old hdi which I didnt known how old the clutch was.

Speaking of dyno this is due on the rr on 1st of feb.

Will have clutch, r70 and lift pump by then so hoping for a good figure.

Looking at the mapping, I don't expect any more than 180lbft low down (the clutch is f*cked) but maybe 150hp higher up.

On a full fat stage 2 it will make a LOT more.

Depends how good your clutch is I guess... we can go as far as you want - totally custom!

My clutch was a full Valeo clutch. Just asking as wondering what extra you think I could get.

Still a stage 1, no intercooler? If so, maybe another couple of hp but a nice chunk or torque for sure...

If you don't mind turning the boost up a touch (maybe 15/16/17 psi) without an intercooler, you'll probably gain another 10hp and again, a nice chunk of torque.

If you have an intercooler, can't see why your car wouldn't do 160hp and 250/260lbft... but the stock clutch may go bye bye....

Yeah I wouldn't like to lose the reliability of the car. I won't be fitting a intercooler any time soon.

Stage 1 and 2 both seem pretty reliable. My HDI (now sold) and now at 195hp and 350lbft is still going strong, and gets abused all the time!
