So can you weld that v band thing to the turbo? Looks good idea saves the messing of trying to get it at the right angles

i think the v band on the gt20 is slightly bigger than 3 inch (not a common size), from mercades the correct clamp for that turbo is around £15 quid, so i could buy that and then make a custom band to weld to my three inch elbow.

I used a 3" elbow with v band clamp, had to grind down the mating surface on the turbo for the clamp to fit though. I also used a TD04 actuator aswell. I had mine on a dyno but made poor results because it was very de tuned because I didn't want to blow it up, I've seen how quickly the EGT's rise on boost.

Ive just acquired one of these Merc C250td turbos and it is confusing the hell out of me lol
The id plate says the following;

GT20
A6050960599
454 156 - 1 AL0001
A/R Turbine side is .38
A/R Compressor side is .51

You would think it has to be a GT20 of some variation but the dieselavante site gives it as a GT25c based on the A6050960599 nr so it is contradicting itself.

If it is a GT20 has anyone a clue as to what derivative of GT20 it is?

It was said some were that gt25c is bascily a gt20 just the old code for it.

Few measurements taken from the turbo i have;

Comp Exducer - 52mm
Comp Inducer - 40mm
Turbine Exducer - 52mm
Turbine Exducer - 40mm

Rough measurements, only had a tape measure, my uncle nicked my calipers.
Does that sound like a GT2052s, or at least a version of one?

I have this turbo on my C250TD
GT20
A6050960599
454 156 - 1 AL0001
I'm trying to find a rebuild kit for it as the bearings have way too much play in them.
Anyone know where I can get a kit from ?

I did order one from ebay but the seller supplied a GT15-25 universal kit (which just doesn't fit) and now can't supply the right kit.
I even sent him the full part number before ordering.
